FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Answers about HYMIX™ systems, installation, maintenance and service.
What does a HYMIX™ system do?
A HYMIX™ system produces hydrogen and oxygen on demand from distilled water and feeds the gas into the engine's air intake. This supports more complete combustion, which helps reduce smoke and exhaust pollutants.
Which engines can it be used with?
HYMIX™ systems are designed for internal combustion engines — diesel and gasoline. Model selection depends on engine size: HyMix M5 for engines up to 7,000 cc and HyMix M Grande for engines up to 20,000 cc. We confirm compatibility during the assessment.
How long does installation take?
Typical on-site installation takes 30 minutes to 1 hour per vehicle, depending on the vehicle and mounting location.
Is hydrogen stored on the vehicle?
No. Hydrogen and oxygen are produced and used immediately; there is no gas storage tank. The submerged stack design generates gas inside the water tank.
What maintenance is required?
Maintenance includes checking the distilled water level and stack condition, inspecting hoses and wiring, and cleaning. The visit interval is set according to operating hours and application under a HYMIX™ Maintenance Plan.
Do you repair systems?
Yes. We provide on-site fault diagnosis, part replacement and repair, followed by a performance check and repair report.
Where do you provide service?
We provide on-site service in the United States, with a current focus on Nevada and the western U.S. Other states are available by arrangement. See service area.
What results can I expect?
Field tests on individual vehicles in South Korea measured smoke reduction of 90%+ and average fuel economy improvements of 10–30%. Actual results vary by engine, condition, fuel and driving pattern. See field results.
Does HYMIX™ replace required emission control equipment?
No. HYMIX™ systems are not a substitute for emission control equipment required by U.S. federal or state law.
